Description
The publication follows the successful Bohemistic Miniatures (Karolinum, 2013). It consists of two parts. The first contains 46 smaller language columns that address under-researched or previously unexamined phenomena of contemporary Czech from the perspective of spelling, morphology, or lexicon. The second part discusses selected grammatical categories and phenomena (case, grammatical number) as well as other issues (Czech abroad, general Czech in teaching foreigners, etc.). Each chapter is presented with an introductory and concluding commentary, describing the circumstances of its creation, suggesting further possibilities for processing the relevant topic, and so on. This popular science book is intended for those interested in Czech as a mother tongue, second language, or foreign language.
