Description
The monograph contains contributions that were presented on April 30, 2014, during a round table organized by the Department of French Language and Literature at Charles University’s Faculty of Education in collaboration with the French Institute in Prague. It consists of eight contributions. Philippe Martin, Tomáš Duběda, and Jana Vlčková-Mejvaldová focus on the suprasegmental aspects of language and the issues surrounding its acquisition. Jean-Yves Dommergues, Élise Ryst, and Erwan Pépiot describe the ways in which students of French as a foreign language linguistically process information. Enrica Galazzi dedicates her contribution to the question of pronunciation models in today’s globalized society. Sylva Nováková addresses the current status of phonetics in the teaching of the French language, similar to Kateřina Suková Vychopňová, who focuses on types of phonetic exercises in French textbooks. Michaela Mádlová's contribution outlines the use of media in teaching the French language. Each of the eight chapters demonstrates how contemporary scientific research is closely linked to the didactic problems of teaching French as a foreign language.
