This history of Latin American art was created at the Charles University Centre for Ibero-American Studies on the basis of the authors’ lectures. It provides students and the general public with a basic overview of the region’s art history, introduces relevant academic literature and important museums and galleries, and explores cultural and artistic relations between the Czech Republic and Latin America. The book also guides readers in their further studies. The discussion includes explanations of key terms and is accompanied by an extensive selection of illustrations. The contents are in Czech. This is the first publication of its kind on the Czech book market.
