Description
This Czech-language Norwegian textbook by Jarka Vrbová and Sissel Nefzaoui is intended both for students in teacher-led group courses and for independent study. Since Norwegian is a Germanic language with many similarities to English and German, the authors sometimes refer to these languages to make the rules of Norwegian grammar and word formation easier to understand. The textbook primarily introduces the fundamentals of bokmål, while also reflecting the rapidly changing nature of Norwegian grammar and the increasing incorporation of dialect features from nynorsk. It contains fifteen lessons, each beginning with an introductory text, followed by a grammar explanation, exercises and a concluding vocabulary list. Completing the lessons gives students a basic knowledge of Norwegian. The book appears in a new, attractive graphic design.
