This Czech-language fourth edition of Olga Krijtová and Jana Červenková’s Dutch textbook aims to help learners acquire Dutch at a communicative level. It has a new, more user-friendly design while retaining the original content. Thirty lessons cover almost the entire grammar of the language, with each lesson comprising an introductory Text A, grammar, exercises, vocabulary and Text B. The first part uses simple dialogues to encourage communication as soon as possible, while the second contains short authentic texts. The book concludes with an answer key, a table of irregular verbs and an alphabetical Dutch–Czech dictionary. Two CDs contain introductory texts, selected exercises and additional texts read by native speakers from the Netherlands and Flanders; the recordings are also available as downloadable MP3 files.
