Description
Olomouc photographer Milena Valušková worked in almost every area of photography during her career. From the late 1960s, she specialized in classical studio photography, creating portraits of children in a so-called communal studio. In the 1970s, she gained a brief but irreplaceable experience at an institute of forensic medicine, where she photographed victims of violent crimes and objects of evidence for court proceedings. She also worked with the Olomouc Faculty of Medicine on the preparation of study materials and documented scientific research projects. From 1977 to 1983, she studied art photography at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. During the 1980s, she worked as a photographer at the Olomouc centre for state heritage care and nature conservation. Her work ranges from documentary photography to multilayered landscape studies and technically complex still lifes.
