Description
Eight years ago, Joseph King was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife. According to local police, he was a 'fallen' Amish and a known drug user with a volatile nature. Now King has escaped from prison and is heading to the town of Painters Mill. News of the escaped murderer spreads like wildfire, and there is tension in the team of Police Chief Kate Burkholder. When King appears in town with a gun and kidnaps his five children from their Amish uncle's house, the nightmare becomes a reality. Kate fears for the children, so she springs into action, but during the frantic search for the murderer, she herself falls into his clutches. However, King releases her unharmed and asks her to prove his innocence. Thus, Kate begins to seek the truth.
