The book biography of Hana Benešová describes the story of a woman who is still considered an unattainable model of a first lady. The author processed a large amount of unknown or unused documents from two dozen archives and spoke with people who were close to Hana Benešová. The result is a very readable portrait of the wife of the second Czechoslovak president, which brings interesting facts and contexts and also debunks long-held misconceptions. A strength of the book is the large number of photographs from public and private sources.
