Description
History is not just about great battles and famous personalities, but also consists of many ordinary and less ordinary events. In the pages of the book, for example, you will learn when schools started distributing report cards, why there used to be a goat among smugglers, what was the only weakness of Karlštejn, why girls did not want to raise snails, in what way the Chods were mistaken, or why Czech Germans were planning an assassination on Franz Joseph I near Liberec. The author has compiled a colorful mosaic of "small" history from individual stories, which are often unjustly forgotten, and also corrects many established misconceptions.
