Description
Pierre de Coubertin was by no means the first to come up with the idea of reviving the original ancient Olympic Games, but he was the person who managed to turn this idea into reality in 1896 in Athens. Since the establishment of the International Olympic Committee, significantly influenced by Czech Jiří Guth, 130 years have passed, and the Czech Olympic Academy has prepared a collective monograph for this occasion. The book will also guide you through when and where the Czech Olympic Committee was founded as one of the oldest national committees.
