Description
It's October 1306. To celebrate the election of the new Czech king Rudolf of Habsburg, a knightly tournament is held in the square of Greater Prague. The first to compete are the friend and favorite of the new king, the knight victorious in all tournaments, Hartmann of Kuenring, against the Czech nobleman Čeněk of Lipá. To everyone's surprise, Hartmann falls into the dust of the arena without Čeněk even touching him with his lance, and the summoned healer discovers that he is completely dead. It looks as if someone sent a corpse in armor to the contest among the knights. Čeněk is immediately imprisoned, but the case is much more complicated, no one wants to talk, and moreover, more people are murdered. Who needed to remove Hartmann of Kuenring and everyone who knew something? Who was bothered by the heir of the powerful Austrian family? Royal judge Melichar wants to get to the bottom of this mystery at all costs!
