Inspector Kate Young is taking medication and coping with trauma. Although she is the best detective in the police force, after her poor judgment nearly causes a public disaster, her superiors decide that all she needs is a vacation. However, when the management calls her back for a new case, Kate returns tougher and more vigilant. She relentlessly embarks on the hunt for a serial killer who tortures his victims and leaves clues that mock the police.
