Martin Patřičný is an artist who creates beautiful things from wood. He loves wood and tells stories about it in books and on a television show about A Piece of Wood from a Tree. In addition, he is also the author of many essays and short stories. In the collection Akord a jiskry, we have included not only new stories but also older ones that the author has edited and partially revised. The texts reflect his experiences, dreams, and ideas, processing unusual stories, often provoking, which is the author's intention, and of course, they predominantly feature relationships between people, love, erotica, and humor. Some stories are romantic (Sůl nad zlato, Zrzečka), others have unexpected themes and endings (Jako v nebi), and the story Robiny or Grandfathers and Girls is portrayed on the border of fantasy and reality. All the stories are united by the author's unique perspective on life, enchantment with love and women - oh! The book is complemented by Patřičný's "wooden paintings."
