Hundreds of years ago, the sailor Gorian from Zarten discovered a new continent – Sanheia. A nation of explorers, they encountered resources on the new land that greatly enhanced their magical power, and the indigenous population, unable to resist the all-powerful conquerors, was easily subdued and enslaved.
Half a century has passed since the abolition of slavery, and society today ostensibly adheres to laws of racial equality, but seventeen-year-old Park knows better. What equality is there when one race has the inherent ability to change, create, and destroy at will, while the other can only watch idly?
Park's best friend Kimp, one of the few who refuses to accept the oppression that most consider a necessary evil, comes up with a crazy plan to rally his people to action, but Park thinks he's crazy. However, Kimp pays for his idea with his life, and it seems he will fade into oblivion like another forgotten case.
Park can no longer stand by indifferently. With the help of a group of classmates so different that they can hardly find common ground, he resolves to uncover the truth. However, that truth grows from roots long buried in ash and blood and has the power to change all their lives...
