Description
The Last Day concludes the series of post-apocalyptic stories A Second Later and A Year Later. It has been more than two years since an electromagnetic pulse attack plunged the United States into darkness, hunger, and death. A mountain town community in North Carolina, led by John Matherson, begins to reactivate former technologies and restore social order. The military forces that remain from the government army suppress all rebellions. John's former commander, General Bob Scales, is to arrest his friend. Will John submit to the new autocratic regime? Or will there be a coup that tears the emerging nation apart?
