Description
Amber lives only with her mom, and to survive this coexistence, she has created a list of rules that she holds dear. Her mom often changes partners and breaks up with each one after a while. The most important of Amber's rules is – never form any relationship with her mom's boyfriends or their relatives. However, things become complicated when they move in with Kevin, her mom's current boyfriend, and following the established rules becomes less straightforward. Kevin's daughter Cammie tries to befriend Amber, and Cammie's best friend Jordan – the school basketball star – spends too much time with them... Amber has good reasons for her rules, and sticking to them is the only guaranteed way to avoid a broken heart when her mom decides to move again. Yet, the longer this arrangement lasts, the more Amber wonders if it's time for a change...
