Description
A spy from the Typhon Pact – the Federation's new political adversary – steals plans for the latest Starfleet technology: the quantum slipstream drive. To prevent the Typhon Pact from uncovering its secrets, Starfleet Intelligence recruits a pair of genetically enhanced agents: Doctor Julian Bashir from Deep Space Nine and Sarina Douglas, a woman whose talent Bashir helped develop and whom Julian thinks of as a long-lost love. Both are sent to infiltrate the ranks of a mysterious species known as the Breen, uncover the secret slipstream project, and stop it. Meanwhile, Captain Ezri Dax and the crew of the ship Aventine, several light-years away, play a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the Typhon Pact fleet that stands between them and the safe return of Bashir and Douglas from hostile territory.
