Alongside his professional life, the book follows his private life: his great love for his wife and frequent infidelities, the birth of his son and his painful loss just a few weeks later. This tragedy made Passer realise that professional success, money, beautiful women, luxury cars and all the other attributes of wealth may bring satisfaction, but not true happiness.
