Jazyk v dynamike demokracie (slovensky) – Dolník Juraj (2023)

The aim is to further develop the macro theme of the functioning of language and communication in changing sociocultural conditions, taking into account both the individual and collective subject. In this variability, there is a steady developmental process, the content of which is the democratization of society in connection with its liberalization. We are witnessing a gradation of democracy in social life and the freedom of individuals, supporting the will to promote "even more" democracy and liberalism, which, of course, brings with it problems, encounters resistance, and raises concerns about their escalation, disrupting the order in society that is necessary for its functioning without disturbances threatening its flexible stability. Language and communication are both a tool and a means in this developmental process, and conversely, this process is reflected in the treatment of language and in the ways of communication. The gradation of democracy and liberalism significantly impacts the life of the standard language. Against this backdrop, the current bearer of standard Slovak is observed, the perspective of standard Slovak with the question of whether a new type of mother tongue is emerging, Slovak language will, and standard Slovak in a socio-meaning perspective, as well as marginalization and inclusion in the area of its usage.
