Description
The presented publication The Nature of Language and Its Exploration is a loose continuation of the series Man and His Language dedicated to the scientific legacy of Professor Ján Horecký and is published on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. This volume also offers studies focusing on the inspirational potential of his work, reflecting themes such as general linguistics and methodology, standard language and language culture, language in society and communication, words and vocabulary, and last but not least, terminology. The authors of the studies, by publishing them, not only expressed their respect and admiration for one of the most significant figures in Slovak linguistics but also showcased Professor Horecký as an invaluable source of inspiration and a spiritually ever-present personality.
