Description
The excellent detective story of the queen of crime – the legendary Agatha Christie – takes place in post-war England in 1946. The author takes us to the countryside near London, where the famous detective Hercule Poirot arrives to solve a mysterious case in the Cload family alongside Superintendent Spence. A few weeks after marrying the attractive young widow Gordon Cloade, he tragically dies in a German bombing raid on London. As a result, the former Mrs. Underhay becomes the sole owner of the Cload family fortune. Shortly thereafter, Hercule Poirot is visited by the brother-in-law of the deceased man, who claims that 'ghosts' warned her that Rosaleen Underhay's first husband is still alive. When Poirot is asked to find a missing person based solely on clues from the afterlife, the famous detective is filled with doubt, but he is even more troubled by the true reason Kathleen Cloade sought him out...
