Description
The textbook Organic Chemistry by J. McMurry is among the standard manuals used by students at many American universities (and not only American ones) to learn the basics of modern organic chemistry, and it has undergone several updated editions. In 2007, due to the long-term lack of a modern Czech textbook on organic chemistry, a Czech translation of the then-current 6th edition of this textbook was published by the Publishing House of the Brno University of Technology and the publishing house of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. This publishing endeavor proved to be very fortunate, as the entire print run, including reprints, has been completely sold out over the past years. Given the ongoing interest in this type of textbook and thanks to the collaboration of both aforementioned publishers, an updated Czech translation of the 8th edition of J. McMurry's Organic Chemistry is now being released.
