The content of the publication addresses issues closely related to contemporary life. The topic of parking relates to the processing of spatial studies and other spatial planning documents, as well as the implementation of specific systematic measures in the area of traffic organization. Most settlements of all sizes, both cities and towns, are trying to cope with a deficit of parking opportunities and capacities, especially in organically grown street systems with historical buildings. Here, cars, especially in larger numbers, are a certain foreign element in the often cramped public space. Citizens rightly demand solutions from their elected representatives to meet the needs and claims for parking and the storage of individual means of transport. Therefore, this publication could play a very useful role in this regard as a tool not only for the lay public in municipal councils, especially in small towns, but also for students and the professional community.
