The monograph is dedicated to the topic of non-traditional students in tertiary education. The main defining criterion for this group is age and a break in formal education after completing secondary school. Among the non-traditional students studying at Czech universities, those studying educational fields were selected, namely fields that provide qualifications for work in education (e.g., teachers, counselors, educators, social pedagogues, teaching assistants, adult educators). The book is divided into 11 interrelated chapters presenting theoretical foundations, methodology, and research results conducted by the authors of the book using a mixed research design.
