The book is a translation of the publication Mythen – Irrtümer – Unwahrheiten: Essays über das "Valsche" in der Pädagogik edited by H. U. Grunder (Bad Heilbrunn: Verlag Julius Klinkhardt, 2017). It includes seven essays written by authors from universities in Germany and Switzerland, who strive for a deeper interpretation of some established views on their subject of interest, which includes education, schooling, teachers, students, teaching, and learning.
