Ways of Formulating Responses in Political Discussions. Using the Example of the Günther Jauch Talk Show. This publication deals with spoken language in combination with the language of politics within political television talk shows. The main focus is on the ways of formulation and, above all, on the pragmatic characteristics of questions and answers from the perspective of speech acts. These theoretical aspects are applied in a detailed analysis of the responses of participants in the political television talk show Günther Jauch. The publication aims to identify and describe the linguistic specifics of these responses, among other things, in terms of their responsiveness, hyper-informativeness, and engagement with emotions. The text of this publication is primarily intended for linguists.
