Description
Information. A study from information science and ethics with regard to users with visual impairments. The work consists of seven studies. Each study forms a closed system, in which arguments are made for certain conclusions, and it is therefore possible to read each study separately. Together, however, the studies form a cohesive whole that represents a certain conception of information science. All arguments for this conception are built on a specific understanding of the key concept of information science, the concept of information, which is confronted with several related concepts, a certain methodological approach, and various problematic questions. By reading the work, we gain answers to specific questions addressed within the individual studies, but also to questions that transcend the narrow framework of the individual studies and gain significance only when we consider the work as a whole. We can say that the work presents a relatively complex picture of very general philosophical and information-scientific questions related to the phenomenon of information.
