"This book opens new horizons for the Czech reader, and I dare say that the text should be required reading not only for every economist dealing with the economics of the public and non-profit sectors but also for those who doubt the ability of economics to grapple with such abstract and complex phenomena as faith and religion. After reading the book, most readers will likely agree with one of the author's concluding statements: ... the current world, however strange it may seem from a Czech perspective, is a religious world, and it is unlikely that this fact will change in the near future. Therefore, the study of religion is at least as relevant as it has been in the past, and given the loss of personal experience with the importance of religion in our society, perhaps even more so.
