Description
Twenty studies and articles by researchers from Czech and Macedonian universities and academic institutions that comprehensively address Czech-Macedonian historical, linguistic, literary, and ethnographic-folkloristic issues on a comparative basis. The issue of Czech-Macedonian cultural and political relations could not be studied before 1991; only after the establishment of the independent Republic of Macedonia was the teaching of the Macedonian language, literature, and culture introduced at Czech universities, and scholarly works began to emerge that relate to both the earliest (Cyril and Methodius) period of our mutual relations and the most recent historical developments.
