Description
The publication focuses on the phenomenon of nationalism in political parties in the Central European region. It seeks to uncover the common features and differences in the perception of national populism and nationalism in the Visegrad countries – the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary. The project examines the period between 2005 and 2010, collecting electoral programs of relevant political parties from all four countries during the monitored period. Based on the analysis, a categorization was conducted aimed at defining common characteristics of nationalizing tendencies both within individual countries and in the region as a whole. Another goal of the work was to reflect on the development of identity tendencies at a time when all countries have been EU members for more than five years.
