Antonín Václavík (1891–1959) a evropská etnologie: Kontexty doby a díla – Drápala Daniel (2010)

The collective monograph dedicated to Professor Antonín Václavík of Masaryk University summarizes his life experiences, professional activities, relationship to his native region, and influence on the formation of the so-called Moravian Ethnographic School in various sections. It aims to contribute to a deeper understanding not only of the personality and contributions of Prof. A. Václavík to the social sciences but also to serve as a valuable guide for familiarizing oneself with the thematic range of ethnographic research in the first two-thirds of the 20th century, the developmental stages of ethnographic museology, and the various methods applied in scientific work. It is also beneficial for the history of the field. It can be utilized not only by academic workers but also extensively by students of ethnology and other social science disciplines, museum workers, as well as amateur documentarians and enthusiasts of folk culture in the field.
