Jednotná evropská měna: Realizace hospodářské a měnové unie v EU – Sychra Zdeněk (2009)

The publication deals with the description and analysis of the implementation of the Economic and Monetary Union of the EU and its consequences. The level of investigation includes processes occurring at the EU level as well as at the level of individual member states (the last part of the work follows the implementation and impacts of the EMU at the level of member states in the form of case studies of several countries, chosen based on geopolitical considerations, their relevance to the monetary integration process, and their position towards the EMU). The aim of the publication is to describe how and why the Community reached the current form of the EMU, what factors influenced this process; to analyze the key elements/tools of the EMU and explain their significance; to analyze the institutional structure of the EMU and its influence on the political system of the EU; to illustrate how the adaptation of individual member states was influenced by their structures, political systems, and specific conditions.
