Description
The author's fourth published book, Glosy veršem (with the subtitle Circling), is divided into three parts: Playing on Wings, Circling, Ringing. Circling here is a metaphor for flying over the years of personal and surrounding life. The vertical axis serves as a guiding certainty for this circling. The horizon is defined by visibly nearby places that, even if only for a time, were the author's 'landing' spots. In the texts of Ringing, the author is not a lyrical subject, but rather one who observes, looks in, and designates from their position. An ornithologist does not fly. Formally, it is a playful activity, reminiscent of the literary-historical methods of Czech poetism – the freedom of verse rhythmically and metrically bound. However, the introductory text of the book states about this playfulness: We can play everything // We can play for everything // We can only play for everything once.
