The collection is a selection of contributions presented at doctoral seminars organized as part of the GAČR grant project: Moravian-Silesian School of Doctoral Studies. The authors of the articles are students of the doctoral study program in the fields of archaeology and anthropology at Masaryk University. In the introduction to the collection, Prof. PhDr. Zdeněk Měřínský, CSc., as the project leader, briefly characterizes its development, comments on individual doctoral seminars, and also on the content of the publication itself. The collection contains 19 articles. In the contributions, readers can learn about the life of the Paleolithic man Jan Kniha, data on the settlement of Moravia in the later Stone Age, interesting facts about metalworkers and their products from the Bronze Age, as well as information about the Moravian population in the early or high Middle Ages.
