Lekce pro život: Drama a integrované kurikulum – Clark Jim (2008)

The translation of the book Lessons for Life reaches educators at a time when all schools in the Czech Republic are implementing their school educational programs (ŠVP), which they have tailored to their needs. In their creation, they were based on the general principles outlined in the RVP ZV, but schools had the opportunity to incorporate their specifics, which differentiate them and present them to the public. Therefore, we offer readers a book that can become a helpful resource, especially for those who have integrated a new philosophy of education into their ŠVP, a new teaching method based on support and mutual cooperation, teamwork, who have decided to integrate the curriculum, present current issues to students, discuss them, teach students to communicate, listen to each other, prevent problems, or subsequently seek various ways to solve them, find parallels between life and the curriculum, work on projects, ... all through dramatic education. In the presented lessons, dramatic education seamlessly integrates the content of individual subjects, students are compelled to uncover problems themselves, solve them, take positions, make judgments, thereby gaining new knowledge, taking responsibility for their decisions, learning to live for life, with the only difference from reality...
