As part of the research on military-civil relations in the Czech Republic, it was found that there are certain deviations from the desired state in terms of the Western model of civilian oversight and democratic control of the military. However, most principles of the Western model are utilized. The most serious deviation from the Western model is the occasional infiltration of military personnel into the political parts of the Ministry of Defense.
