The fourteenth modular textbook for students of anthropology and related fields deals with so-called pre-Columbian literatures. The aim of the text is to outline the basic contours of pre-Columbian literature of the American continent, indicate the problems associated with their study, highlight their historical fates, their gradual discovery and transcription, and point out their thematic features. The author of the text is doc. PhDr. František Vrhel, CSc., who specializes in Ibero-American literature and has published many studies on this topic in both domestic and foreign scholarly journals. He is also the author of several scripts, textbooks, and monographs.
