Děti nade vše – de Vigan Delphine (2021)

In the thriller-tinged novel 'Children Above All' by Delphine de Vigan, we glimpse into two distinct worlds. In the first, internet stars reign, including the story's heroine Mélanie, whose vision of fame and profit slowly distances her from her loved ones and reality itself. In the second, her opposite Clara lives, a hard-working member of a criminal team, who is troubled by the abuse of children in the digital space. We follow a captivating story where modern phenomena of the time, social networks, virtual reality, and the footprints of each of us play a role, and with its characters, we uneasily discover that there is a high price to pay for them. The author surprisingly takes readers into the near future after 2030. What will it be like?
