Description
The poor Black girl Kayla Turay lives a modest life in the village of Konso in Ethiopia. At just eight years old, she is forced to work hard to survive. When one day she loses both her parents to a vicious disease, she becomes an orphan without a roof over her head. After many blows of fate, one day she is discovered by a white woman named Sophie, who takes her in. It seems that Kayla has found happiness as she is taken in by the wealthy Rahman family. She starts going to school and grows into a young woman with big goals. The turning point comes when she must marry an Arab whom she does not love. And the one she loves is forbidden to her. Will Kayla manage to overcome life's obstacles and avert the dangers that threaten her?
