Němečtí kverulanti – Hanuška David (2019)

In recent years, articles about individuals who do not recognize the existence of the Federal Republic of Germany and its legal system have regularly appeared in the pages of all major German newspapers. For this reason, they refuse to pay taxes, boycott all official decisions, or commit disturbances in court or tax office buildings. Some even consider the land around their own house to be the territory of a completely independent state, whose alleged sovereignty they intend to defend against police and court bailiffs, even with weapons in hand. We are talking about members of the "Reich Citizens" and "self-administrators" scene. For a long time, members of this scene were regarded by German state authorities as harmless lunatics and querulants, whose main pastime was creating multi-page nonsensical complaints and declarations addressed to all possible German and foreign institutions. A fundamental change in the approach of German state officials towards this phenomenon occurred in October 2016, when one member of the scene cold-bloodedly murdered a member of the police command using a firearm.
