Description
Crime reporter Jakub Kramář is not an unreliable hero without fear or shame, but a tough guy and a stubborn seeker of truth in the style of 'come what may.' Sometimes he is mistaken, but at other times, perhaps more often, his investigative intuition leads him in the right direction. He resembles a magnet that attracts highly dramatic situations. From time to time, he also seeks them out himself, as he cannot stand any injustice. In the story titled Slimy Touches of the Leech, he gets involved in the search for a sexually deviant murderer. In the story Brother Killer, he helps a dying man who wants to prove his innocence. The third story, called Too Many Widows, takes reporter Jakub Kramář into the ruthless world of business, where one of the unfortunate heroines expresses that her life 'is like dying in installments.'
