Description
Fortifications, siege and coastal artillery in Czechoslovakia and other European states. The second part of this extensive work is dedicated to the development of artillery from 1919 to 1945, which served both for the defense of fortifications and for those intended for their conquest. Alongside fortification and siege artillery, the book also addresses railway artillery, which experienced its last widespread deployment on the fronts of World War II during this period, including Germany's gigantic weapons such as the 80 cm Dora gun and self-propelled mortars. In addition to conventional artillery, the development of several unique designs that appeared on the battlefield is also captured here. At the end of this volume, recently declassified weapon systems, particularly Swiss and Swedish, are also presented.
