Some might think that architecture is inherently immune to ideology and politics, that it must be understood solely as an artistic work. After all, architecture means the art of building, and even the renowned Roman architect Marcus Vitruvius Pollio, known as Vitruv, called architecture the 'mother of the arts.' But the opposite is true. Architecture manifests itself in individual buildings, complexes of buildings, housing estates, or entire urban developments, and it is influenced not only by climatic, technical, and economic parameters but also by legal, religious, political, and other social realities. And the architecture of the Third Reich was no exception. It was profoundly affected, often tragically, by Nazi ideology and the cult of personality of the 'Führer.' The criminal and hateful racial policies, the emphasis on the 'exceptionality' of the German nation, and the condemnation of other races or nations and their cultures, in this case, architectural, also found their place here. In the architecture of the Third Reich, as in other areas of life, the principle of prioritizing the interests of the whole, which is of course defined by the NSDAP, over the interests of the individual is reflected, with those who do not conform being excluded from the collective at best, or in worse cases...
