Description
The book Test Pilots of the Luftwaffe is an authentic document from the time when modern German aviation was born in direct relation to the impending Nazi expansion. The second half of the 1930s marks a definitive departure from previously recognized concepts and heralds the rapid emergence of new generation aircraft. Although the work was created in Nazi Germany, it is not a typical propaganda manual aimed at apologizing for the twisted ideology of the NSDAP. With its technically factual and objective approach, which pays attention to even the smallest details, Test Pilots of the Luftwaffe is, even today, many years after the first German edition, an interesting and informed testimony about one phase of aviation development.
