We are about to tell the exciting story of one of the greatest heroes of the Czechoslovak foreign army – the story of Colonel and later Major General in the Czechoslovak Army Sergej Petras. It is impossible to remain silent about his father, Vladislav Petras. These are two inseparably linked dramatic human destinies, reflecting the entire unspeakable difficulty and complex circumstances in which the Czechoslovak state was born at the cost of bloody sacrifices, to which both were intrinsically connected as native Czechs.
