The Czech sci-fi novel 2012: THE LAST HITLER'S ASSAULT brings readers into a world just before the fateful time of 11:11 AM on December 21, 2012, when the Mayan calendar ends. The main character is Czech salesman Daniel Hájek, who discovers that he is destined to travel back in time from the catacombs of Jihlava to the year 1947, when the struggle between Byrd's polar expedition and Nazis equipped with extraterrestrial technology reaches its peak on the icy plains of Antarctica. After losing the war, the Nazis found refuge in the long-secret Antarctic fortress of Shangri-La. An old man, who claims to be an older version of Dan, informs him about the journey, being a man who has already undertaken it. It is up to the main character, whom the reader personally guides throughout the story, to ensure that Admiral Byrd's expedition, which has remained secret until today, is successful. Otherwise, history will change, and the Nazis will dominate the planet in the 1950s, ultimately transporting it through an energy vortex to another dimension in 2012. Just like in the author's previous novel THE APE PROJECT, the reader is given the opportunity at the end of each chapter to decide what the main character will do next. In his search for the right path, he is allowed to glimpse into REAL projects that took place...
