The religious dynamics of Islam caused the horrific September 11, 2001. At that time, I concluded that the time had come for me to start asking whether Islam is a bad omen or not, leading me much later to seek arguments for the question: 'Why am I not a Muslim?' Whether we work with competing concepts or alternative frameworks, my essay on the topic 'Why I Am Not a Muslim' in the connotation of anti-oppressive approaches and political science may have little value, but it suggests certain intellectual and ideological disagreements between the world of the West and Muslims. And why is that? (1) Islam seeks to dominate our world, (2) it refuses to be a public matter so it can be criticized and problematized, (3) it rejects compromise and consensus, (4) it seeks to appropriate power and the distribution of resources.
