Tethys - Cesty za kouzlem vody – Brát Mirek (2012)

The content of the publication Tethys – Journeys for the Magic of Water consists primarily of journalistic sketches and themes from countries on the shores of the Mediterranean and Black Seas: Croatia, France, Tunisia, Greece, Israel, Cyprus, Monaco, Malta, Ukraine, Turkey, and Bulgaria. The book also presents themes from Poland, Belgium, Hungary, Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Tethys - Journeys for the Magic of Water loosely follows the publications Thalassa – Europe in a Drop of Water (NV 2007) and Mare Nostrum – In Search of the Secrets of the Mediterranean (NV 2011). This book trilogy by Mirek Brát aims to describe interesting places in the Mediterranean geographical area and in European countries, with a unifying perspective primarily on aquatic environments in both natural and artificial biotopes. Seas, rivers, ponds, and aquariums – all these environments inspire the author to develop themes of the relationship between humans and water. The publication Tethys – Journeys for the Magic of Water concludes the long-term activities of the Mare Nostrum project, which aimed to publish the aforementioned book trilogy. This publication and the entire book trilogy (Thalassa – Mare Nostrum - Tethys) are intended for all who enjoy traveling, are interested in history, nature, diving, photography, and the world beneath the water's surface.
