Description
Tomatoes are a particularly valuable antioxidant that the human body cannot produce, and therefore it obtains it only from a few types of crops that contain it. Tomatoes are also low in calories (17-20 per 100g) and do not lose their beneficial and nutritious properties, including a high lycopene content, when they are processed or made into purees in the food industry. Since the 16th century, when the tomato arrived in Europe from America, it has been successfully used in a large number of dishes in numerous countries.
