One of them was World War II veteran, fighter pilot, and member of both the British and American air forces, American Leo Nomis. We will follow his fate practically from the moment he joined the British RAF as a volunteer, but the main part of the book consists of a description of Leo's participation in the fight of the young Jewish state for independence.
